EnterpriseIrelandEnterprise Ireland will host an information day on May 10th on the CIP Eco Innovation Programme.  Eco-innovation is about introducing innovative products, services and processes to the market that will reduce environmental impacts and make better use of resources. This EU funded initiative bridges the gap between research and the market. It helps good ideas for innovative products, services and processes that protect the environment become fully-fledged commercial prospects, ready for use by business and industry.

Elevate Programme Offers Small Businesses 100% Funding To Develop Cross-Border Sales

Elevate2013Small businesses have been hardest hit by the recession, often relying on local demand for their goods and services. While these organisations are the backbone of our economy, in order to grow, the cross-border market should be considered as their first natural export prospect and they need to have a clear export strategy in place to take advantage of this opportunity. InterTradeIreland’s Elevate programme, launched in 2011, was specifically designed to help local micro-enterprises identify and develop cross-border sales opportunities.

InterTradeIreland Calling Start-Ups To Become Investor Ready and Compete For €280k CASH Prize Fund

InterTradeIreland is calling on new start-ups and early stage companies to enter the island’s largest business competition, the InterTradeIreland all-island Seedcorn Investor Readiness Competition. The new look competition, which has a cash prize fund of €280,000 with no equity stake, aims to transform equity raising businesses into first-class investor ready companies. Now in its 11th year, the competition has supported 1,645 enterprising companies, with the companies that have made it through to the regional finals successfully raising €165m in new funds.

Squarespace Announces Plans to Establish EMEA Headquarters in Dublin with the Creation of 100 New Jobs

SquarespaceTaoiseach Enda Kenny TD and Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton TD today announced that Squarespace, the leading all-in-one website publishing platform, plans to establish its EMEA Headquarters in Dublin along with the creation of 100 new jobs. The initiative is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation through IDA Ireland, the government agency responsible for the attraction and development of foreign investment in Ireland.
