Marin Software Incorporated (“Marin”), provider of a leading advertising management platform for search, display, social and mobile, is establishing its international headquarters in Dublin and plans to create 35 new jobs over the next three years. The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
The office will initially have responsibility for international finance, office administration, global customer and technical support and intends to expand to sales and IT. Initially the Headquarters will be located in Dublin 2 with the company planning a move to a larger office as growth requirements dictate.
Making the announcement, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, TD said, ‘Today’s announcement that Marin Software is establishing its international headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 35 jobs is a further boost for the capital and for the ICT sector in Ireland. This is a sector which is at the heart of the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs, and in the time since we have taken office a total of over 11,000 additional people are at work in ICT activities. Through continued strong implementation of our plan I am convinced that we will see further jobs growth in this sector to help get Ireland back to work.’
Commenting on the announcement Chris Lien, CEO & Founder of Marin, who spearheaded Marin’s recent listing on the New York Stock Exchange said ‘I am delighted with the establishment of this operation in Dublin which will help fuel Marin’s global growth. We chose Ireland due to its successful technology and software cluster, the availability of digital and multilingual talent, and its pro-business environment. We look forward to supporting the Irish economy with these new jobs.’
Welcoming the announcement, Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland said, ‘The establishment of the San Francisco-based Marin’s International Headquarters in Ireland is a welcome boost to Ireland’s strong existing software and technology base. The new Headquarters is expected to be a strategic centre for Marin and to have a central role in growing the company’s international revenues. The online advertising industry is growing at a rate of 15% to 20% annually and Marin’s presence here will further add to Ireland’s attractiveness for companies in this dynamic space.’
