LinkedIn to Create 100 New Jobs in Dublin

LinkedInLinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network with more than 100 million members worldwide, with Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, today announced the creation of 100 new LinkedIn jobs in Dublin. Available over the next 12 months, the roles will include graduate and experienced positions, with opportunities in sales, business development, marketing, customer services, finance, HR and operations. There are more than 15 roles open today.

Carlow Company Hi-Spec Announces New Joint Venture in Germany

Hi-SpecCarlow firm, Hi-Spec Engineering, has announced that it has formed a new joint venture with German company Europe Dairy Systems. Hi-Spec, which is based in Bagenalstown made the announcement in Dusseldorf  during the St. Patrick’s Day visit of the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mr Richard Bruton to Germany. The newly formed company, Hi-Spec Deutschland GmbH,allows Hi-spec to establish a permanent presence in Germany for the storage and distribution of products and parts, product presentations and dealer training.

Tethras Technologies Launches in US Market at Macworld 2011

Tipperary Candle Company Lands First US Order with New York’s Iconic St. Patrick’s Cathedral

St Killians Candle CompanySt. Killian’s Candle Company, a Tipperary-based provider of religious candles, debuted its new smokeless candle in the US on St Patrick’s Day.  The first US order for the green-friendly product was placed by New York’s venerable St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The institution selected St. Killian’s products as a cleaner, safer and more cost-effective alternative to the older-generation candles currently used by churches across the US.  The order was secured with assistance from Enterprise Ireland’s New York office.

Two NovaUCD Companies Shortlisted for Major Innovation Award

nova ucdTwo University College Dublin spin-out companies, Celtic Catalysts and Equinome, both headquartered at NovaUCD, have been shortlisted for the Irish Times/InterTradeIreland 2011 Innovation Awards. Now in its second year, these Awards were established by the Irish Times and InterTradeIreland to acknowledge the people who drive innovation in their organisations, either indigenous or international companies (small, medium or large), who are operating throughout the island of Ireland to promote service, product or operational innovation.
