Waterford Chamber has launched a brand new ‘Free to Members’ seminar series dealing with six key issues facing business today. The ‘6 @ Six’ seminars are aimed at providing business support to member companies through six free 1-hour sessions all commencing at 6pm for six weeks at Waterford Chamber. The Seminar series is also open to non member companies for a fee of €5 per seminar.
The first seminar will take place on Wednesday, 20th April on the subject of ‘Dealing with The Banks in These Troubled Times’. The seminar will be hosted by Kieran Finnan of Finnan Financial. Kieran holds over thirty years experience in banking and aids businesses to formulate plans to deal with bank debt and to negotiate on repayments. Kieran admits he takes a realistic and practical approach to dealing with the banks and his clients.
Commenting on the launch of this free seminar series Waterford Chamber President Tom Murran said, “Waterford Chamber is in business to build business for our members and these seminars are designed to support member companies, many of whom have undergone major change in these challenging times.
These seminars deal with key issues facing business in today’s economic climate and aim to provide practical advice to businesses in how to tackle those issues.”
The second free seminar of the series will take place on Wednesday, 27th April on the subject of ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution’, which is all about resolving disputes and removing the expense of going to court. The third in the series will take place on Wednesday, 4th May on ‘It’s all about Customers’; the fourth seminar of the series will take place on Wednesday, 11th May entitled ‘Business Cost Management’. The fifth seminar of the series will take place on Wednesday, 18th May focusing on ‘Selling skills’ and the final seminar in the ‘6 @ Six’ series will take place on Wednesday, 1st June and will focus on ‘Waterford City Rating Revaluation 2011’.
