Putting Mid-West Businesses on the Map

ceblogoA talk by world record-breaking mountaineer and entrepreneur, Pat Falvey, plus the launch of a unique map showing North Clare tourist attractions and businesses are just two of the highlights of 'Enterprise Mid-West' this week in Clare. Hosted by the County and City Enterprise Boards in the Mid-West for the month of October, it's the turn of Clare County Enterprise Board to host this week's events.

Clare Tourism Operators Unite To Promote Local Sector

Over 150 tourism operators from throughout County Clare participated in the Gala Clare Tourism Networking Evening at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point on the 31st May.  The purpose of the free business-to-business event, which was hosted by the Clare Tourism Forum, was to provide tourism providers with the opportunity to showcase their respective operations to the wider County Clare tourism Industry.  The event also featured over 80 tourism information stands.

Enterprising Day Out For West Clare Businesses

ClareAn event aimed at assisting new and existing businesses in expanding their operations takes place in Kilrush on Wednesday 25th May 2011. Organised by members of the West Clare Task Force, the ‘West Clare Enterprise Evening’ will showcase the wide range of supports to local enterprises. Participating agencies include Clare County Council, Kilrush and Kilkee Town Councils, Shannon Development, Leader, FAS, Enterprise Ireland, County Enterprise Board, VEC, Loop Head Tourism, and Kilrush and Kilkee Chambers of Commerce.

Wage Subsidy Available to Clare Businesses

Clare Supported Employment is encouraging local employers to check if they can benefit from a generous subsidy of €5.30 per hour to employ a candidate who has a disability through their service. The service is available to meet with employers to explain how the subsidy works and to assist businesses to access the grant where possible.

Clare Entrepreneurs to Share their Secrets to Success

Two progressive companies from Co Clare, Clare Spring Water from Lissycasey and ABC Nutrition from Shannon, will present their case histories at Network Ireland Clare’s annual business networking event, which takes place at the Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis on Thursday, 19 May. Both companies, who have been hitting the headlines for their innovativeness, will show how team spirit, determination, and structured market knowledge are the cornerstones to developing an export-led and sustainable business.
