Gateway UCC launches SPRINT Accelerator Programme

A new accelerator programme, called SPRINT, was launched today  at Gateway UCC by Julie Sinnamon, CEO Enterprise Ireland and UCC VP for Research & Innovation Anita Maguire. Designed to support early stage start-ups, entrepreneurs and UCC-based researchers, the SPRINT Accelerator will focus on commercialisation strategies and routes to market.

Twitter Director to Address It@cork 'Women in Tech'

it@cork logoCorkwoman and Twitter Director of Public Policy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Sinead McSweeney, will address the September 'Women in Tech' event organised by it@cork European Tech Cluster in association with Cork City Council. Taking place on 10 September at the KBC Boardroom on Lapps Quay, the business luncheon will certainly meet the objective of the Women in Tech series, which aims to support female role models and leaders in technology. Sinead McSweeney will discuss her current role at the global social media company, Twitter, as well as her career to date including her role as Director of Communications for An Garda Síochána and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

CIT & Enterprise Ireland To Spend €850,000 On 'New Frontiers' Entrepreneur Programme

CITCIT, along with Enterprise Ireland, will spend €850,000 to run the New Frontiers Programme, a national programme which targets new entrepreneurs with the commitment and capability to develop and deliver sustainable businesses, over the next three years. The aim of the programme is to produce companies eligible for Enterprise Ireland’s high-potential start-up supports.
