SiliconCloud Wins Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Enterprise Award

DLRCEBA Dublin-based digital marketing consultancy was awarded the County Enterprise Award for Dún Laoghaire Rathdown last Thursday night and will go forward to represent the county at the National Awards Finals in Dublin Castle this November. SiliconCloud, founded by Patrick Murphy, creates custom online sales and marketing strategies for clients in the US, South Africa and Ireland. The company, which began life in 2009, now employs six full-time at its offices in Sandyford Business Park.

DLR County Enterprise Board Event Encourages Local Businesses To Fly Higher

DLRCebDún Laoghaire Rathdown County Enterprise Board will host its annual Fly Higher event on Thursday 2nd May at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire. Fly Higher is a major enterprise event that both celebrates and aims to inspire the entrepreneurial talent of local, small businesses. The event will feature the County Finals of the County and City Enterprise Boards' National Enterprise Awards, showcasing best-in-class local micro-enterprises.

Design Corner 'Sparkles' with Craft and Design this Christmas

The Design CornerUntil Christmas Eve, THE DESIGN CORNER on George's Street in Dún Laoghaire will be home to the work of twenty-two craftspeople and designers from the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown region, giving the local creative sector a welcome boost. Park House on George's Street in Dún Laoghaire, opposite the entrance to People's Park, is where the THE DESIGN CORNER will be opening its doors to the public every day between now and December 24th.

Search Begins for Nominees in Small Business Community

dlrlogoThe search for nominees begins today in the 'Most Promising Start-Up,' 'Business Growth,' 'Female Entrepreneur,' and 'Best Networker' categories, as part of an annual awards initiative for small local businesses. Organised by the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board, the two founders of the men's Irish fashion label: 'Counter Propaganda,' Richard Doody and Feargal Swann, won the overall award last year. The company designs and distribute men's casual-wear for retailers in Ireland, the UK, Spain, Romania and Japan, in addition to running their own retail outlets in Dublin.
