South East Social Media Conference

clonmelchamberClonmel Chamber together with South East Chambers will hold a free half day Social Media Conference on Wednesday, 16th November in Waterford Institute of Technology from 8.45 am to 1.00 pm. The conference will bring together a range of social media practitioners, thought leaders and experts to help businesses use social media tools to deliver strategy and tactics leading to greater profitability and better customer engagement.

Irish in Business Award Winners Announced

Three separate Dungarvan-based enterprises were recently (Wednesday 4 May) presented with Awards in recognition of their efforts to promote Irish in their respective businesses. Lawlor’s Hotel, Printmaster and Readers’ Choice all received certificates and prizes in the form of free advertising in local newspapers, the Dungarvan Leader and the Dungarvan Observer, at an event in the Old Market House Arts Centre, Dungarvan, which was hosted by Comhlacht Forbartha na nDéise and Waterford County Council.

Search for 'Spirit of Enterprise' Begins

Spirit of EnterpriseIndividuals, organisations, voluntary groups and companies are being invited to enter this year's Spirit of Enterprise Michael Dee Award. Named after the late Michael Dee, a former Enterprise Ireland executive who tirelessly supported the development of enterprise across the South East, the award organisers are calling for nominations before the March 31st deadline.

Waterford Chamber Launches ‘6 @ Six’ Free Business Skills Seminars

waterford ChamberWaterford Chamber has launched a brand new ‘Free to Members’ seminar series dealing with six key issues facing business today. The ‘6 @ Six’ seminars are aimed at providing business support to member companies through six free 1-hour sessions all commencing at 6pm for six weeks at Waterford Chamber. The Seminar series is also open to non member companies for a fee of €5 per seminar.

Waterford Students Encourage Entrepreneurship

EI SocietyThe Entreprenuerial and Innovation (EI) Society has just been established at Waterford institute of Technology to support students with innovative ideas, creative minds, and entrepreneurial aspirations. At present the society is based in WIT’s Research and Innovation Centre and is supported by the Centre for Enterprise Development and Regional Economy (CEDRE), under the guidance of Dr. Bill O’Gorman.
